The ALICE Pack (more so medium size) has always been the gold standard; to the point that the US Army's newest ruck, the MOLLE 4000 is a modernized version almost identical. However, the 4000 is heavy with the modern day Cordura material. The old nylon of ALICE is durable enough, water wicking enough and light. Many infantry and special operations units allow this exact pack to be used.
